Long Thursday
On Long Thursdays, every 3rd Thursday of the month, the castle becomes a stage for music, art and dialogue between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. Each Thursday has its own individual programme and is dedicated to art: music, artist talks, guided tours, readings, performances and much more. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the current exhibitions, take part in the evening programme and enjoy the special flair in the evening hours. At the Bar Mezzogiorno (installation by Florian Hüttner and Daniel Maier-Reimer in the Tower Cabinet), acquaintances, friends and colleagues can get together over a free drink in a relaxed atmosphere and ring in the end of the working day.

TANGO AT THE MUSEUM
All dance enthusiasts, whether beginners or experienced dancers, are invited to a tango evening in the Zwirnersaal. Martina Klein and Enrique van Doezelaar have once again put together a fantastic workshop.

GEOCACHING IN THE CASTLE PARK
Together, we’ll set off to explore the castle’s history. How has the castle changed over time, and where can we still find clues to its former appearance? In small groups, we’ll explore the castle and park, armed with coordinates, clues and signposts.

PAINTING AND MOYLAND MULES
Director and curator Dr Antje-Britt Mählmann will first give a personal guided tour of the exhibition ‘Armin Mueller-Stahl. Night and Day on Earth’. Afterwards, we will create our own little works of art whilst enjoying a museum cocktail.

DRAMA (-TIC TEXTS) AT THE CASTLE
What could be more inspiring for the imagination than a historic site like Moyland Castle? The author Simone Saftig is visiting us and will be running a workshop on dramatic writing for all visitors, whether or not they have any writing experience.

Museum Schloss Moyland is opening its doors for an evening in collaboration with the Joseph Beuys Comprehensive School. Together with the pupils, we are putting together a lively programme in and around the museum. Come along and see what they’ve come up with!
