For pre-schoolers and schoolchildren, the museum offers dialogue-based guided tours and practical creative workshops. The content is based on the current exhibitions and is aimed at children and youths of all ages and school types. Themes and works in the exhibitions, as well as the castle with its park and herb garden, offer a variety of starting points for art lessons, interdisciplinary projects, and Day-Care Centres´ activities.

Workshops

Workshops on artistic themes include a short dialogue-based tour of selected works as well as a practical part. The content of the workshops is adapted to the age of the students. Other themes are possible by arrangement.

The workshops usually last 120 minutes. The cost per student is € 6.50 including general admission and materials. Accompanying persons have free admission. At least one supervisor per group must be present during the entire visit. Please make sure that all participants wear clothes that can get dirty and are weatherproof for activities in the park.

Guided Tours

Our guided tours for schoolchildren provide insights and background information on the themes of and works in the current exhibitions, as well as on the history of the castle, the park, and the herb garden.

Day-Care Centres

Our holiday programmes offer children and young people the opportunity to gain new experiences outside their usual learning environment. In diverse workshops, they learn more about the museum and park in a playful way.

Teachers and Educators

At the beginning of an exhibition, we offer training for teachers and educators with insights into the respective exhibition theme and possibilities for age-appropriate teaching.

Moyland Shuttle

The Society of Friends of the Museum Schloss Moyland provides a bus that takes school classes directly from their school to the museum and back again. This service is available in conjunction with the booking of a workshop or a guided tour.
